One could just as validly claim that the 140 character limit cheapens complex discourse to trivial soundbites, and that what is catchy and viral and impactful on Twitter has little bearing on its validity or quality. But anyway, "quality of discourse" is not some simple thing to quantify. More importantly you've not even bothered to try.
