In Greece, with our austerity measures, part-time employment came as a requisite from our creditors, because it would turn our economy more competitive. What really happened in an economy with 23% unemployment? Now anyone can hire you legally for as little as 100 euro per month and, since there are a million people out there looking for a job, can demand from you to work 12 hours per day for 5 or 6 days a week. Slavery does give a competitive edge to a business.

  Obviously it isn't part time, it is how the part time laws are used when the workers haven't any leverage.

  Not different from a full time working week of 40 hours when the boss asks to work 10 hours every single day, only more extreme.
