This is the point I was making, although this is a more amusing way of making it. I didn't say they should not be relaxed, by the way. I do think at some point there will be a big public fight about what we are willing to accept. I have heard it said that even current self-driving tech is safer than humans. But I haven't looked at the stats myself.
