That's a bozo of an excuse if I ever heard one. Lack of vision, lack of direction, failure to set expectations or execute a plan, better opportunities elsewhere, poor management... those are all reasons for brain drain. Gave them too much money? That's absurd. Honestly, it looks more like a propoganda message to pre-explain shrinking bonus money.
