Amen. A few great shames IMO have been the steady evisceration of the 10th Amendment by Supreme Court rulings and the passage of the 17th Amendment (which made Senators elected by popular vote). At least the latter was done correctly and constitutionally, but I think having one part of the legislature one step removed from the voting population is a good thing.
