There is so much truth to this. I interviewed recently with a company I really liked, and had this exact experience. The deciding factor came down to how I approached a specific problem they gave me. The challenge was, I was solving the problem while answering and asking questions, dealing with interruptions, and making sacrifices to code quality due to time constraints. Super frustrating.
