only reason, with Vizio, is if you buy a 4k HDR TV thats Dolby HDR compatible and a year or two later HDR 10 becomes the standard and Dolby HDR dies, then Vizio 'can' update the TV to be compatible with HDR 10. Otherwise, its safe I guess to keep it disconnected.
