Charitably, your statement could very well be true for those American developers who live in the lower end of compensation. But, it's nonsensical when applied to those getting paid in the high range. Anyway, the long-term fix is not to shift the lower end up by ~10k (if that even happens) for everyone. The fix is for each individual developer to move to the higher range. ie. quit blaming immigration and get better.
