I'm sure large corporations would love some cover to depress wages. The reality is the blue-collar jobs the article references had low barriers of entry, and provided good salaries. SE jobs with good salaries rarely go to boot-camp graduates, and with a glut of CS majors on the market, there's no reason that'll change.
