It's become conventional wisdom that fundraising is not to be praised. I would disagree. Having cash in the bank is absolutely critical to building a company and raising money is not easy.
- gkoberger 10y agoNothing saves a company like cash in the bank, but nothing kills a company like increased burn due to raising followed by the inability to raise the following round.
- mwseibel 10y agoYes!
- pbreit 10y agoBurn is 100% in company's control, fundraise 100% out.
- AstralStorm 10y agoNot true. Certain people have connections and experience as well as reputation to raise money much more easily.
- pbreit 10y agoMaybe more easily but ultimately 100% someone else's decision. Whereas spending is 100% in company's control.
