I really don't mind developing for the latest and greatest versions of the popular browsers. I think there is a surprising amount of congruency among them. Where it gets difficult is developing for older versions of browsers. This article should have made an argument about retiring old browsers faster and getting people to use the latest versions sooner. Other than that, I can empathize with his position. Web development is hard. I guess that's why we get paid to do it.
