Hey, just want to chime in and say keep at it. I don't come from a highly educated family nor was I especially fond of maths, but one good advanced math course with a really brilliant professor in my undergrad made me switch majors. And yes, I also started to feel like everything around me was falling in its place; it's quite a rush, huh? I haven't read the article yet, but no matter what anyone else says or what you read I hope you continually pursue your love of math. :)
