I just glanced over the abstract, so I don't know for sure, but wasn't the point of study to show how people who are 'actively aware' of social network 'surveillance'? This would make sense to me.

- passwd 10y agoAs in, how the people who already experienced the 'chilling effect' online, had this projected on their offline life. I've also seen many people doing and saying all kinds of weird stuff online, but I'd expect the study not to be concerned with those.
