The CDC and ODPHP (US agency that sets dietary guidelines) do not recommend non-drinkers start drinking moderately, which is in line with the research which shows no health benefit to drinking alcohol. It's a bit scary how research+media+people's love of alcohol work together to spread the fiction of alcohol health benefits.
