I looked around and these seats apparently give "higher density than first-class seats," i.e. they're much less dense than coach. I don't think this will lower most people's carbon footprint.

Yes, I guess these particular seats are not more dense, but the idea of trading some cabin volume for legroom seems a good one, but requires some innovation.
