From what I remember of ME3 you pretty much sacrifice yourself at the end to do one of three things, all of which are pretty similar in nature - just a change of colour. However you do not get to experience the universe after you have chosen one of those endings.
So what I wanted to say (in a philosophical angle) is that your choices do matter to the people left after you are dead, and they can greatly affect how people remember you. But it is the choices that you make during the game - the journey - are the ones that have the biggest impact on you (or the character).
So to have made all these choices during the playthrough and then not experience the consequence after the end is quite disappointing to a lot of people.

That's probably the real reason they're going with Andromeda now - they completely blocked off the ability to continue Milky Way story. -- There's one thing I'd love someone to create though - a tool that would take all my saves from 1, 2 and 3, and use them to retell a story of my character. Some form of highlights; rendered comic maybe, or even the story to read - something to reflect my character biometrics and to remind me all the decisions I made during the course of the trilogy. All of that data is in the save files.
