I've been learning JavaScript myself, and I've been finding Douglas Crockford's site useful: http://www.crockford.com/ http://www.crockford.com/ (Note that to become the best JavaScript programmer ever, you'll probably have to pick up some other languages along the way. But JavaScript is both a good language to learn and a good language for learning, so it's not a bad idea to learn JavaScript really well first before learning others. Keep an open mind.)
