Even that is inaccurate. Long is 4 bytes on 64bit windows, 8 bytes on 64bit UNIXes (all I've used) and 4 bytes on OS/400 with teraspace (an environment with 16 byte pointers)
- dvirsky 10y agoyeah but certainly 8 bytes are not 32 bit
