I have no interest in misrepresenting your opinion so I will happily narrow my comment. > Conservatives are the ones that created this nightmare in the days after 9/11. "Liberals" simply did not remove it. What reason is there to believe that the core of the Democratic party was not fully supportive of activist intervention overseas and domestic spying? Why portray this creation as a result of Conservatives?

His argument was liberals were pro-government and by implication Conservatives wouldn't do that. That is all I was responding to and the fact you don't get that is confusing at this point. I've tried to put it to you that way a few ways now.
