I guess you need to think about this more as a monetized version of hitchhiking than a free Uber/Lyft. Cause in terms of liability there is about 0 coverage. You can't even know if the driver is insured at all. While I love the idea of the app and it's openness, I am not sure there would be a market/use for it where Uber/Lyft is available.
