A recurring local meetup for people building stuff to show others their stuff (and hang out with other people building stuff).
== Why ==
Building stuff alone at home is lonely and sometimes you get stuck with an obscure technical problem that someone else has already figured out.
Also, having a peer IRL support group that meets regularly can help keep you accountable to shipping that cool half-baked hobby project of yours, even if version 0.1 isn't pretty.
And oh, make some cool new friends.

Exact location TBD, but likely, at a coffee shop. Probably, Red Rock Coffee on Castro St. (Caltrain accessible)

First meetup this weekend-ish, depending on when most people would prefer to meet.

- DrScump 10y agoProbably, Red Rock Coffee on Castro St. Well, you'd better arrange it with them first. Only the upstairs room would be appropriate for a group discussion, and you'd need to make sure it doesn't collide with scheduled events there (e.g. all Monday evenings and many weekends). You should also guarantee them a minimum amount of patronage to make up for the ad hoc visitors you would displace (they are a nonprofit co-op, after all). I recommend the Assam; real loose leaf tea with your own water pot.
