Most IT jobs in Switzerland are apprentice routes.
And theyre far better than Germans these days.
Had friends with BAs apply for entry level jobs in Switzerland and get rejected with "too little experience".
- ThomPete 10y agoAlso the swiss do more technical degrees than academic.
- taneq 10y agoThis is a distinction that I wish someone had explained to us in high school, and then given us a choice about when applying for university. We just got vague assertions of this university or that being 'more practical' or 'more theoretical' with no real explanation.
- xorfish 10y agoAnother plus is that you can still go to university after a apprenticeship. So you can do something practical before you decide what you will study.
- godmodus 10y agoI hope the system will adjust itself to do exactly this. Otherwise were facing a real crises.
