I'm not sure why, but this site is adding several history entries. It's even worse when I try to navigate down using arrow keys.

- jiggliemon 10y agoWas going to gripe about the same thing. Looks like they're injecting history per scroll event.
- samirillian 10y agoNot to mention, this particular article was called out by another HN article: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13451310 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13451310 as glorified pseudoscientific clickbait.
- jessriedel 10y agoOn Chrome Android I get a new history entry for every partial step scrolling down the page. Hitting the back button leads to slowly inching back up the page 1 cm at a time.

- derrickdirge 10y agoOn mobile safari it completely fills the back button history, making it impossible to actually go back. Pretty egregious UX.
- MattRix 10y agoYeah it's awful, though you can go back if you hold the back button, which will pop up a list of history entries.
- jmiserez 10y agoIf you've scrolled too far, the HN page won't show up anymore even if you hold the back button.
- derrickdirge 10y agoThat list is exactly what I'm talking about. By the time I wanted to go back, that list was completely full of links back to the current page and I had to load HN from my favorites instead.
