In that case, I think (I am NOT a lawyer and this is just my personal opinion): If both of you travel together, then it will be much easier for them to deny you both entry than if one of you is inside, since they don't have to also justify forcefully separating a husband and wife from each other. But if you can make a case that your wife/family is here and that e.g. you have a mouth to feed, by denying you entry they're also increasing the country's liabilities and burdens.
Tread carefully. I would not go back if I were you. And don't miss the other comment regarding the news on Iran's end.
- benbreen 10y agoI'm a native-born US citizen though - surely we're not in such a bad state as a country that I could be denied entry just for being married to someone from their list of scary countries...?
