I have a NUC5i3RYH and you can (I have) set the fan control curve in the bios so that the fan stays off until the CPU reaches 75°C. It is completely silent until you do some gpu/cpu intensive stuff for some time. It is a lot better than my previous MSI cubi which had the fan always running and had a much mor annoying noise.
