I love to cook and I'm puzzled why more Hackers don't. To me, cooking is the anti-thesis of coding. Both are about the deeply satisfying act of creation but one is abstract, permanent and virtual. The other is visceral, messy and temporary. This yin-yang balance appeals to me immensely and both are major parts of my life.
- weaksauce 16y agoI love to cook as well. I find is a very relaxing thing to do with a sense of completion at the end. When you are hacking on a long project you may not get that sense of completion.
- rmanocha 16y agoI love cooking as well - it's the cleanup after that keeps me from doing it more often - I hate doing the dishes.
