We detect what network you're on, on a cellular network you wouldn't upload and only leech from other users and http.

  Are you able to do that if the user is connected to a VPN? I frequently connect to a work VPN on my laptop using my phone as a hotspot.

    That's an interesting scenario, we didn't consider it but we can include it as well.
