I've gone backpacking eight times this year despite the rather rough weather back in February when I started. It's great to have a hobby that involves a lack of analytical thought, just your immediate surroundings and some physical effort to expend. Keeps me sane when I live and work downtown, and type at a keyboard in front of three screens day-in day-out.
