While I'd concede the point; its pertinent to national security that not many neighbouring countries are very fond of them. So I can imagine why the level of immense paranoia being applied here. Tragically allowing refugees in is the sort of action that might convey the goodwill necessary for Israel to find a diplomatic home in the Middle East but alas; short-termism wins out.
