It's extremely team-dependent at Amazon, whether you get the "you have to work long hours forever" team or the "I don't care if you put in your timeoff, just live your life outside of work while still getting your shit done" team. There are many possibilities, and recruiters aren't trying to match on what's important to you as a candidate, they're trying to fill the square hole with any peg they can.
