- josephagoss 10y agounset HISTFILE; shred ~/.bash_history; exit You want to unset the current HISTFILE so that it doesn't become apart of ~/.bash_history when you exit.
- nitrogen 10y agoPutting a space in front of commands prevents them from being recorded in the history file.
