Wine has been good with the few Windows games that I play. (Dosbox with dos games is better, but it has been crashing way too often with certain titles.) Stuff works way better than in a VMWare box, games like Fallout, Jagged Alliance 2, GTA 3, VC, SA, even 4 at times, Fallout 3, New Vegas, Skyrim, Rise of Nations, most Needs for Speed. Whatever glitches I get in Bethesda games, I google about them and quickly find out the same issues happen in Windows environments as well. I also run many games that have native Linux ports in wine, because it handles sound better (pesky games these days presume I have a channel mixer set up)... like Faster Than Light.
