It's not doctors. I am working on software for the OR right now and I had never taken a biology course. The amount of stuff you need to know is IMPOSSIBLE. No, it is literally impossible. The human body is beyond ridiculously complicated and this is why most doctors pattern match for everything they've seen before. This is why, if I were an MD, I would be latching on to ML as quickly as I possibly could. There is a TON of money to be made here, sadly, I do not have the domain expertise to make it, though I am picking it up pretty quickly.
