I quite rarely see people get flamed for providing a well-formulated opinion on HN, so I don't think you need to preface your piece with that.
I mostly agree with your post, ML has great potential to augment and assist doctors in making the right calls. Paraphrasing Jeremy Howard, "Doctors will be skeptical of these tools coming to take over their jobs at first, but will learn to trust them more and more when they see the kind of predictions they make, thereby slowly but steadily leading to their adoption (as an enhancement or tool) in many areas."
