I had a bit when I was 10 or so where I'd go to great lengths to explain the magnitude of my humility. If 10-year-old me was cynical enough to develop a routine about it... how has it ever worked? Humility, grace, rudeness, attractiveness... these are all judgments that can't be made about yourself, only by/about others.
