Just as a counterpoint, I've seen it on a 4K LG OLED tv and I thought it was just as "meh" as theater 3d.
I also tried to get some 3d games working because I thought it might be better than movies, but it was decidedly worse. Like, really bad. Headache and nausea inducing in mere minutes bad. This is probably the reason that hardly any games support 3d tvs any more.
