Mine did as well. I absolutely loved them. When I was having our house built in America I tried everything I knew to get them built in. Apparently they are a fire hazard(1) here and so are not permitted by code. (1) Then again, the house I lived in that had them was nearly 100% concrete as most houses in Germany were. American houses, not so much. Sure would be useful here in Florida come hurricane season though.
