If you are talking about this service: http://he.net/web_hosting.html http://he.net/web_hosting.html, then it's supported SSL since 2013, at least, with a simple admin panel to set it up... If it's an actual VPS, then SSL is fully on you, and trivial to set up with common stacks and LE.
