The food and water lines will spread cross the country like wild fire. The rich and prepared can have their bunkiers but unless they have military training and a militia with tight communication there's little to stop what is inevitable. Someone like me, hungry and with no empathy, a 12 gauge will show up and take what ever you have. There will be no salvation. No one will be safe. people like you think you are more prepared. You were just preparing for someone else younger and stronger to take your shit.

If the bunkers are well stocked with supplies, then it only takes a very small cadre for the rich to rapidly be able to scale up to a militia more capable than anyone without supply stockpiles is going to be able to put together, and then actively target and acquire (whether by force or cooperation deals) the smaller stockpiles that exist and consolidate their power.

- headShrinker 10y agoHopefully no one is hunting a predator with a shotgun long range but it makes for good internet forum keyword attention grabbing. younger and stronger isn't just a metaphor, when supplies get thin the most capable will take what they want. Maybe not younger but mostly younger.
