Haven't tried that but I've used something called Rocketbook that is a notebook with features on each page that an app can recognize and easily capture and upload pages to specific destinations. So I can take notes by hand and still have a digital record with don't rudimentary tagging. Then you can reuse the notebook. Requires a specific pen and the right smartphone but to me this is totally worth it and I'm not stuck with no notes when I forget the notebook!
