The goal of the bill is to protect Wyoming's fossil fuel industries. But even if passed, it would largely fail to do that. That's because the great majority of the state's fossil fuel production is sold to other states and countries that are charging ahead with renewable energy. Instead of trying to stop the unstopable, the state government should be working on how to adapt to the new world where no one wants to buy their fossil fuel exports.
