I'm not sure I understand the problem. From my perspective (maybe wrong), the OP tracked down the Nature blurb and posted it. Maybe for authority, maybe because HN focuses on English language discussion. Presumably, the OP first ran across the news in Le Monde. Well, ok; while I appreciate actually having a somewhat de facto lingua, um, franca for conversation on HN, I can cope with citations to content in other languages. Particularly when the OP is considerate enough to also provide an English language alternative. While I'm about out the door, in a hurry, it also appears at a glance that the article in Le Monde may have more general background on the topic and its history of concerns.
