Wildly biased Cassandra person, but I find this very well written and explained, and I'm especially happy that when you bumped into problems like wide partition and tombstone memory pressure, you didn't just throw up your hands, but you worked around it. The wide partition memory problem should be fixed in 4.0, for what it's worth.
