I find it highly ironic that the guys who ransom files, take over people's IoT devices, DDOS console games children play, and just cause endless havoc don't see themselves as an oppressor to the common folk. They have more in common with dystopian regimes than they realize and certainly aren't the good guys here.
- lmm 10y agoI don't think DDoSing etc. is consistent or organized enough to compare to a dystopian regime. And it's worth saying the protagonists of Shimoneta literally call themselves a terrorist organization.
