  Wow. What an unpleasant way to respond to criticism. Being a programmer does not require the ability to hobble your thinking. I can easily imagine programming in a language without generics - but I'd still be programming with generics, I'd just be expanding them in my head (or, if I was writing enough code, in my own implementation of generics) rather than using a built-in implementation.
