I discovered I had this many years ago. A gif someone had posted was making a periodic noise as it looped that stopped if it was scrolled off the screen. I wonder if psychedelic drug use would correlate to it as well, since those drugs are known to cause an acute version of this effect. And would the correlation to musicians hold up if we control for drug use?
