It's a failing of the industry to treat nutrition as cause and effect when the body is clearly a complex system.
Then again, it's hard to pick a complex system that we do model properly.. the economy, the climate, the body, etc..
- chipperyman573 10y agoIf humans were removed from the equation, we could accurately model the economy and climate (to a reasonable degree). Human randomness adds too much entropy to the system to accurately model it.
- zaphar 10y agoThat is a claim I'm not sure I believe. Why do you think removing Humans would reduce the complexity sufficiently to model the weather which any usable accuracy?
- ncallaway 10y agoThe climate is perfectly chaotic without human involvement. Much the same way that the three body problem is chaotic whether there are people involved or not.
- jamez1 10y agoPerhaps I need to clarify, these systems are chaotic hence the difficulty in modelling them, I didn't mean to imply anything political. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complex_system https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complex_system
