For what it's worth, I know that they're exactly the same, but I should have pointed that wasn't the main thrust of my point. I was trying more to say "Hiring people to tell you what you want to hear". Probably not the most helpful analogy in retrospect. I should point out now that I don't disagree with their conclusions either, but was arguing rather that they could have been made more comprehensive by examining the editorial discretion.
