If you're wondering about the term "before present", the present is defined as 1950 for geological purposes. I'm afraid it's probably too late to correct it to 1985.

- sknuds 10y agoThey might be thinking "Back to the Future" rather than unix?
- HillaryBriss 10y agoyou're right. they probably were thinking of Back to the Future, which was, in some ways, a far better film than Unix.
- Crito 10y agoIt was set because of nuclear testing. Thankfully we made it through the 80s without nuclear war.
