A friend of mine switched their mobile phone number but forgot to change it in their Microsoft account. Now they can't completely use it because their is a one month waiting period to get the new number accepted without validating the account with the old number. Thankfully you can add also email addresses for that but we forgot that.
- herbst 10y agoA lot of services use Authy, where you also "easily" can change your phone number. But it also takes 2 weeks, for someone that moves country monthly is just a suboptimal solution. Sure it makes sense to slow this process down for protection purposes. But my "edge case" will only get more common when remote work will get more common.
